In a previous article, I talked about the structure of our group fitness classes at Next Level and a little bit about how they work. Now I want to talk about the purpose of our group fitness classes and how they benefit everyone. Firstly, the premise of our group fitness classes is function, meaning it has a purpose or is intended for a person or thing. Functional exercises are typically exercises that mimic activites we do in our day-to-day lives or can help prevent issues from a sedentary job or overuse of certain muscle groups. A lot of people have jobs and careers that require them to sit for long periods of time. This can lead to a lot of issues like rounded shoulders, inactive glutes, neck pain, shoulder pain, the list goes on. Our group fitness classes can help to reverse what that sedentary job does to your body. On the opposite side of the spectrum, our classes can also benefit someone who has a job where they repeat certain movements over and over again, like bending down or lifting things. Our group fitness classes use functional movement not only to help with these two things but also to make us stronger so we can continue to do the things we love without putting our bodies at rest. All of our classes focus on balance, core, cardiovascular health, and strength. All of these things are great and are so beneficial for every person, no matter what you do in life. No matter what your goals are, we can help you get there. If your goal is to be strong, you can come to our strength classes and choose heavier weights. If your goal is to burn fat, our hybrid classes really focus on getting the heart rate up, to put you in a fat-burning state. We also really put a big focus on our community and the members we have, making sure that your physical and mental health is taken care of. Creating an atmosphere of fun and energy can really make the world of difference in a fitness class. We put our fitness classes in front of everyone else’s and Tulsa because we genuinely care about every single person that walks in the door, and our trainers go above and beyond to make sure that you feel welcome, and that you’re reaching your goals every single day. If you’re looking for a community focused on having fun and getting better, our group fitness classes are for you. Your first class is always free, and we would absolutely love to have you join us.
