In this article, I want to talk about the benefits of watching the greats in their individual sector and learning from what they do. What I mean is watching people like Michael Jordan Shack Leno Messi Rafael Nadal Alex Morgan Serena Williams Tom Brady and so on. Watching what these great players do on a daily and weekly basis could give you insight as an athlete on things that you should be doing differently or things that you should be applying more focus to. If you’re an athlete in an individual sport you should take the time to find great athletes in that individual sector and figure out what they do their mindset while they do it how they do it study everything that they do and don’t necessarily copy but use that to write your script and similarities in terms of work ethic drive and determination. One thing is for certain all of the greats have a drive and a dedication that most average people don’t have. Figuring out that drive that motivation for yourself could be the difference in your level of greatness. I was listening to a podcast the other day while looking at the performance training and this one while it was less about sports performance training and more just about the life of this athlete what about Shack. Shack didn’t have the most glamorous and the most prominent upbringing. He grew up in the projects of New Jersey moved to Germany where his only option was to play basketball move back to Texas for Coach after the Coach to tell him he was too soft to be that big. Shack took the drive in the motivation from those around him and Shack decided that he was going to play professional basketball he was gonna be the most dominant big man in the world this is so ingrained in the shack said that there wasn’t another option. He had one thing and one thing only he was going to be the most dominant big man in the world that is a lofty goal but when you put a lofty goal like this in front of a determined person usually produces big results.
