The topic that I’m about to talk about is pretty self-explanatory and seems pretty obvious but might not be treated that way by assets. The game is not just the game. What I mean by this is there’s a game inside of the game you have your actual game where it’s time to perform there’s a winner there’s a loser and you move on after. On top of this, you have the game inside of the game which is all the other work that you do to help advance your abilities in the real game. For this article will talk about sports trends. Sports performance training is a game inside of the game skill training is also a game inside of the game. Do you have your actual game which is a short period of time that you’re supposed to perform at the highest level but a lot of times athletes treat this as the only game and everything else is just things that we need to do to help us get there. If we can start looking at performance training as a game in a game you perform as hard as you can to try to get the maximum output the maximum goal possible and show off all of your highlights and all of your skills at the highest degree. This is not how we always train for sports performance training. With performance training we find ourselves going through the motions just trying to get repetitions in to get it done to get it over with not to see how high of a score we can get in terms of repetitions or how much load we can handle. Why not treating these measurements like a game for chewing ourselves out of quality repetitions and improvements that we could be making. Obviously, you must have everything in moderation if you are going to treat these workouts like games, and maybe not every workout should be treated exactly like a game but if your goal while doing sports performance training is to maximize every bit of it and it should be treated as if it were a game. So your plan should now be to take the mindset you have a game take the killer instinct you have in a game and apply the performance training so that way you can maximize all of your sports performance training. Maximizing everything is key especially when it comes to sports training because every rep counts. If you can take this mindset as an athlete to maximize every little inch of everything that you do whether it’s skill training whether the actual game or whether it’s worse performance training you’re going to see a higher chance of success.
