BEYOND THE DREAM

WHAT OUR ATHLETES SAY

Ashton Gordon

Training at Next Level Athletics was a game-changer in my journey. As a Tulsa World Player of the Year, Gatorade Player of the Year, and a college athlete at both Arkansas and Pittsburg State — where I served as captain — I’ve experienced a lot of training environments, but none as intentional and impactful as this one. The coaches pushed me beyond my limits while tailoring workouts specifically to my needs. I was able to graduate high school early and transition straight into college with confidence.

Kaleb Boone

Training at Next Level gave me the confidence and strength to make the leap into Division I basketball. The attention to detail and structure of their workouts was unmatched. I always felt challenged and prepared, and I knew I had a team supporting me along the way.

Chaney Helton

Next Level Athletics has been my home for over five years, and I wouldn’t be where I am without the mentorship I’ve received here — especially from Josh Jackson. From the early days of group classes to preparing to play at the highest level, this place has shaped me as an athlete and a person. Committing to the University of Oklahoma was a dream come true — and Next Level helped make that possible.

Arrie Brown

As the #1 volleyball recruit in the state of Oklahoma and a Division I commit to UNLV, I can confidently say that training at Next Level has played a huge role in getting me to where I am today. They’ve helped me develop explosive power, improve my vertical, and build total-body strength. Every session is intentional, and every trainer is fully invested. This place has helped keep me strong, healthy, and ready to compete.

Cam Watts

Next-Level Athletics played a huge role in my development as a football and track athlete. They pushed me physically and helped build my confidence and discipline. Even now, they continue to support me while I compete in college. It’s more than a gym—it’s family.

I’ve trained with Josh since freshman year, and he’s helped me adapt and grow as an athlete. The training isn’t just physical—it’s mental. Josh has been a wingman for me through it all, always pushing me to be my best.

Andrew Mullin

Next Level Athletics supported me through multiple ACL injuries. Their encouragement and structure got me back on track to compete and even get recruited by the University of Oklahoma. This gym is more than training—it’s a family that believes in your comeback.

– Andrew Mullin
Matt Merrill

I came in as a pro baseball player looking to sharpen my training—and left feeling stronger than ever. Josh made me feel like family and pushed me to break new ground. I made more progress in one off-season at Next Level than I ever had before.

Macee Blackburn

From indoor volleyball to sand, Next Level has been with me every step. They genuinely care about their athletes, support us through every phase, and push us to grow. This place is home—it’s where I’ve built my strength and found community.

– Macee Blackburn
Marissa Williams

I tried several gyms before finding Next Level—and none came close. The trainers invested in me, showed up for my meets, and pushed me to win multiple state titles. They believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. That made all the difference.

– Marissa Williams
David Perez

Next Level has been instrumental in my journey as a boxer. Aaren has trained me for years and helped me build the speed, strength, and mental confidence to compete professionally. Their commitment is unmatched, and they’re always in my corner.

NEXT LEVEL ATHLETICS TRAINING PHILOSOPHY

Innovative Explosive Exercises

Innovative Explosive Exercises
We train athletes of all ages using a blend of traditional strength tools—like barbells, kettlebells, and dumbbells—paired with non-traditional methods such as resistance bands, med balls, sleds, and the VertiMax. This approach builds total-body strength, power, and control while preparing athletes for real movement demands in sport.

PLYOMETRIC MOVEMENTS

Our plyometric training develops fast-twitch muscle fibers, helping athletes jump higher, move quicker, and absorb force more efficiently. Every jump, hop, and bound is designed to improve power and reduce injury risk. We progress plyometrics by age and ability, keeping athletes challenged while building explosive control.

NON-TRADITIONAL STRENGTH TRAINING

Our strength training is designed for athletes—not powerlifters. Rather than focusing on heavy back squats, deadlifts, or Olympic lifts, we emphasize movements that better reflect the demands of sport. Exercises like rear-foot elevated split squats, quarter squats, front-loaded split squats, and sport-specific squat variations help athletes build strength in the positions they can translate to the game.
